Bruce M. Pregler is a founding partner of the firm. He
was admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan in
1987. Mr. Pregler concentrates his practice in the area
of construction litigation, real estate transactions,
complex civil litigation, corporate formation,
shareholder and member disputes, arbitration and
mediation, and collections in the construction industry.
For over 26 years, Mr. Pregler has successfully
litigated cased in U.S. Supreme Court, Federal District
Court, Federal Bankruptcy Court, and Michigan Court of
Appeals, Circuit and District Courts. He has been named
by Super Lawyers in the field of Construction Litigation
from 2009 to the present. Mr. Pregler also has an
AV-Preeminent peer rating by Martindale Hubbell.
Mr. Pregler has represented general contractors,
construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers,
architects, engineers, owners, developers and sureties.
Mr. Pregler has prosecuted and defended contract claims,
delay claims, abatement claims, acceleration claims,
site condition disputes, negligence claims, lien
foreclosures, bond claims, corporate disputes and
easement disputes in court and in arbitration. He has
litigated claims involving the following projects:
condominium developments, industrial buildings,
hospitals, malls, retail centers, office buildings,
power plants, incinerators, apartments, prisons,
subdivision developments, roads and highways.
In 1998, Mr. Pregler was elected to the board of
directors for the Construction Association of Michigan
(CAM). In 2002, he was elected Chairman of the CAM’s
board of directors. CAM is one of the largest
construction associations in North America with over
4,000 corporate members.
Mr. Pregler also sits as a director for the Carpenters
Industry Advancement Board since 2003. In addition, he
sits as a director for the Construction Federal Credit
Union Board since 2008. Mr. Pregler is also the Chairman
of the Board for CAM’s Political Action Committee since
2010.
Mr. Pregler has also been selected to serve as an
arbitrator for the construction industry and commercial
disputes by the American Arbitration Association. He has
also been appointed as special discovery master by
Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Langford-Morris. Mr.
Pregler has been a mediator for Oakland, Macomb and
Wayne County for over 15 years. In that time he has
mediated over 500 cases.
